On Saturday, May 1st I was privileged to host a wonderfully successful event at my home for my friend Elizabeth Scott, Candidate for Washington State Representative, 21st District.  I invited many friends including members of different tea party groups, political candidates and members of different churches in the greater Sky Valley area.  The response to my invitation was overwhelming, resulting in thousands of dollars of donations to the Scott Campaign.

    Bill and I and our two teenage children, worked feverishly the week beforehand to make sure that everything was picture perfect, from valet parking to cheesecake with fresh sliced strawberries.  A handful of personal friends from my church and friends I have met at tea party activities, gave of their personal time to help me put this event together.  I thank my husband who personally donated all of the funds for all of the expenses associated with the dinner. He is a remarkable man, husband and father.

    We donated our time, energy and money because we feel that Elizabeth Scott is a woman of personal integrity who will represent ‘We the People’ in our wish for limited government and personal freedom.
