I, the undersigned citizen of the United States, petition the U.S. Congress to only support health care reform with the following principles:

• The primary goal of health care reform should be to reduce medical costs through tort reform and the elimination of fraud and government-mandated paperwork.
• No entity, governmental or private, shall ever be allowed to mandate insurance coverage levels for individuals or families, or punish them for lack of insurance.
• Reforming the health care system must never add to the debt of our nation – either directly or indirectly.
• All national health care related laws and regulations must comply with the enumerated powers of the federal government according to Article I Section VIII of the United States Constitution.

Any member of Congress supporting legislation contrary to these principles will not receive my support in future elections.
